Hillsborough County, FL : Woman, 79, dead after Hillsborough car crash on Saturday, 17th August 2019

A 79-year-old New Port Richey woman died after a car crash in north Hillsborough County Saturday night.

According to a news release from the Florida Highway Patrol, Hana Bandealy, 29, of New Port Richey, was driving a 2009 Volkswagen sedan northbound on Nebraska Avenue at about 9:30 p.m.

At the same time, 47-year-old Aracely Garcia of Tampa was driving a 2017 Nissan SUV southbound on Nebraska Avenue.

At the 121st Avenue intersection, Garcia turned left into the path of Bandealy's oncoming sedan, the release said. The front left of Bandealy's car hit the front right of Garcia's SUV.

One of the two passengers in Bandealy's car, Malek Gajani, 79, of New Port Richey, died after sustaining serious injuries in the crash.
