PROVIDENCE, RI : Nurse hit, killed by car after stopping to help crash victim on Sunday, 1st November, 2020

An off-duty nurse was killed by a hit-and-run driver after she pulled over to help the victim of a car crash in Rhode Island, according to authorities.

State Police responded to a rollover crash on Interstate 95 in Pawtucket on Sunday. Troopers were told a Good Samaritan who was helping a passenger had been hit by a red car that drove away. The Good Samaritan, identified as 34-year-old Jennifer Toscano, was pronounced dead at the scene.
