Lewiston, ID : Two people killed when the vehicle crash July 2nd 2014.
The Idaho State Police say authorities have recovered the bodies of two people killed when the vehicle they were riding in crashed into the Lochsa River.
Authorities told the Lewiston Tribune that they believe 29-year-old Boone Hallmark fell asleep while driving on Highway 12 near Lowell at about 3 a.m. on July 2, and the car went into the river. Police say Hallmark tried to help the victims but was washed out of the vehicle and survived.
Water levels in the river initially prevented police from recovering the bodies of 22-year-old Talia Rushing on Boise and 2-year-old Layton Hallmark that were inside the vehicle. But crews were able to recover the bodies and the Chrysler PT Cruiser from the river on Tuesday.
