Titusville,FL : Man killed in crash on State Road 528 in east Orange County on August, Thursday 17th 2017

A 24-year-old Titusville man was killed Thursday night when the car he was riding in left the highway and hit two trees, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Andrew Polo III, 29, of Cocoa was driving west on State Road 528 near SR 520 about 10:30 p.m. when the car went into the grass median, troopers said.

Polo overcorrected, and the car crossed the westbound lanes, through a water-filled ditch and hit a tree, troopers said. The car overturned and struck another tree.

Christopher Cutright, who was not wearing a seat belt, died at the scene.

Polo and Trevor Cutright, 19, of Titusville suffered minor injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
