Joliet, IL : 2 New Lenox teens die after Joliet crash on Tuesday, 4th September 2018
Two New Lenox teens died Tuesday after a vehicle crashed into a tree in Joliet, according to the Will County coroner’s office.
Eric Zielinski and Heather Sturwold, both 18, were traveling in an SUV driven by Zielinski when the vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree around 4:35 a.m. Tuesday. Zielinski was pronounced dead near the intersection of Briggs Street and Spencer Road in Joliet. Sturwold was transferred to Silver Cross Hospital but was pronounced dead at 4:55 a.m., according to a news release from the Will County coroner’s office.
Joliet Police are investigating the crash.
