Aurora, CO : Nine injured in multi-car crash at 6th Avenue and Sable Boulevard on Wednesday, 19th February, 2020

Nine people, including seven juveniles, were taken to a hospital after a Wednesday morning crash at 6th Avenue and Sable Boulevard in Aurora after the driver of a stolen pickup truck ran a red light.

One person suffered critical injuries, a second had serious injuries and seven others suffered minor injuries in the crash, according to an Aurora Police Department news release.

Four vehicles were involved, including an RTD bus and an Aurora city-owned truck, Aurora police spokeswoman Crystal McCoy said. The driver of the RTD bus and the driver of the city’s truck were taken to the hospital. Seven juveniles in the pickup also were taken to a hospital. A person in another pickup truck was not injured.

The stolen truck hit a power pole in the intersection, and multiple people had to be extricated from the wreckage, the news release said.
