Portland, OR : Driver dies after crash into lumber yard near Molalla on Tuesday, November, 7th 2017
A Clackamas County man died Tuesday after his SUV went off the road and crashed into a lumber yard near Molalla.
Donovan Gardiner, 48, of Mulino, was driving his 1997 Ford Explorer north on Oregon 213 around 3:35 a.m. when he went off the road near milepost 14, Oregon State Police said. The SUV hit an embankment, went through a lumber yard's chain link fence, struck a power pole, and rolled onto the driver's side, according to police.
Gardiner wasn't wearing a seatbelt and was partially ejected from the SUV, police said. No other cars were involved and the cause of the crash is being investigated by state police.
