Volusia County ,FL : No one injured and Traffic delayed after Crash a;long Interstate 4 on Saturday ,May 30th 2015

Drivers traveling eastbound on Interstate 4 in Volusia encountered a significant delay due to a crash.

The wreck occurred around 2:30 p.m. Saturday near mile marker 124, about 7 miles east of State Route 44.

Authorities closed the road for a short time. The road reopened at 3:21 p.m.

Traffic stacked up to mile marker 118 at SR 44.

The traffic jam was partly the result of the ongoing reconstruction of I-4 in that area, which includes detours, concrete barriers and other issues that impede the normal flow of traffic and access by emergency vehicles.

More than an hour after the crash, frustrated motorists sat in nearly-stopped traffic at SR 44.
