Huntersville, North Carolina
The body of a Huntersville man who had been reported missing after his vehicle crashed was found in the Ramah Creek basin Thursday, police say.
According to the Huntersville Police Department, the body of Emile Dave Rowe was found Thursday after his vehicle crashed on Huntersville-Concord Road Wednesday morning. Police said Rowe's body was found in the creek located underneath Huntersville-Concord Road.
Police said Rowe's 1999 Mercedes Benz had ran off the road and crashed in the woods in the 16400 block of Huntersville-Concord Road on Wednesday. The vehicle appeared to have collided with several trees in the woods, officers say.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg police were unable to find Rowe after the crash so police then reported him as missing.
Huntersville police believe Rowe had walked away from the scene of the crash and then fell over a railing into the creek where he later died.
Officers are still investigating Rowe's death.
