Ness City, KS : 2 men assaulted driver, stole gun after crashing into his car on Wednesday, 19th December 2018
Two men are in custody after they allegedly beat a driver and stole his handgun after crashing into his car Wednesday night, Anchorage police said in an alert.
Police said the two men, Jordan J. Campbell, 24, and Vidal Burney, 24, were driving a red Honda around 11:46 p.m. when they rear-ended a truck that was stopped at a red light at Minnesota Drive and Spenard Road. When the male driver got out of his Chevrolet truck to check for damage, Campbell and Burney “got aggressive” and attacked him, police said.
Burney reportedly got into the victim’s truck and stole a handgun the man had placed on the front seat before returning to the Honda and driving to a nearby Holiday gas station. Campbell followed on foot and the two left from the gas station, police said. The man who was attacked “had visible injuries but did not require medical attention,” police said.
There is no indication that the suspects knew the man they attacked, police reported.
