Two men have been killed and three injured after their SUV was hit by a van in the St. Louis area.
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch that 19-year-old Irijah S. Johnson and 18-year-old Christian M. Mattingly were killed in the accident that occurred around 11:30 p.m. Saturday in Maryland Heights.
The Missouri Highway Patrol says the eastbound SUV was stopped for an unknown reason when the van rear-ended it.
Nineteen-year-old Laurent J. Washington was taken to a hospital with a serious injury. Eighteen-year-olds Nicholas I. Gaines-Gracy and Montell M. Gunn also were taken to a hospital with moderate injuries.
