A Plantation man died and a Hollywood man might face charges after a car crash in Pembroke Pines.
According to Pines police, Farin Duvall, in his 1998 Chevrolet, was heading north on Hiatus Road through the intersection of Taft Street around 9:40 p.m. Saturday. Herlin Conorquie, 31, was heading south on Hiatus in his 2016 Dodge, intending to make a left turn onto Taft.
Despite the CPR efforts of the first officer on the scene, Duvall, 58, died at Memorial Regional Hospital. Conoquie’s minor injuries were treated at the crash scene.
The crash remains under investigation, although Pines police stated “charges might be presented based on the final outcome of the investigation.”
In the last 10 years, Conorquie’s paid $2,090.55 in traffic ticket fines on violations such as operating without a license; speeding (70 mph in a 45 mph zone); tailgating; various equipment issues; and, most recently, failure to use care.
Duvall had one traffic ticket conviction in the last 10 years: failure to use a seat belt.
