Orlando, FL : Bicyclist died after being struck by a hit-and-run driver in Orange County on Saturday night, Nov 28, 2015

A bicyclist died Saturday night after being struck by a hit-and-run driver on W.D. Judge Drive in Orange County, authorities said.

Xavier A. Barnes, 40, of Orlando was riding north on Ferguson Drive at W.D. Judge Drive around 7:45 p.m. when he was hit by a Ford Mustang convertible, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

Barnes was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center, where he later died.

The hit-and-run vehicle was abandoned and recovered later on John Young Parkway. The driver has not been identified, the FHP said.
