Bismarck, ND : 24-year-old man injured in a car crash near the Fourth Street/I-94 overpass on Thursday, April 14, 2016

A 24-year-old Bismarck man was injured in a car crash at 12:30 a.m. Thursday.

Christian Taylor was driving east on I-94 near the Fourth Street/I-94 overpass and drove his car into a ditch, hitting an evergreen tree, North Dakota Highway Patrol said in a news release.

The car was relatively hidden in the trees, and no one reported the incident until 8:20 a.m., the release stated.

Highway patrol found Taylor lying outside the car, which he had apparently exited on his own, Lt. Steven Fisher said.

Taylor was taken by ambulance to St. Alexius hospital, who could not provide a report on his medical condition.

The front end of the Chevrolet Impala was severely damaged, Fisher said.

“I’m glad someone noticed. Even from the roadway, it would have been hard to see,” Fisher said.
