FLORISSANT, MO : Fatal crash leaves 1 dead in North County on Saturday, 10th February 2024

Police are investigating a fatal car crash that happened on Saturday evening at the intersection of New Castle Drive and New Halls Ferry Road in north St. Louis County.

Missouri State Highway Patrol said it all started when a truck traveled into oncoming traffic hitting another truck and killing the driver."It's just a bad scene," Edward Johnson, who lives nearby, said. "Makes you sad just looking at it."

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, police responded to a two-car crash at New Halls Ferry Road between New Castle Drive and North Lindbergh Boulevard in Florissant around 3 p.m. Saturday.

The MSHP's latest report added this all started when a car driven by 55-year-old Virgil Shivers went into on-coming traffic and hit Gary Bozeman's car head-on.
