GALWAY, NY : A three-car crash on Wednesday, May 31, 2017

A drunk driver drove into the path of another vehicle Wednesday evening, causing a three-car crash, Saratoga County Sheriff's officials said.Derrith A. Hurst, 68, address not given, faces misdemeanor charges of driving while intoxicated.

Hurst was driving east on Route 29 in Galway when she crossed into the path of a pickup truck driven by Matthew J. Angelo, 20, address not given, officials said. Angelo, attempting to avoid the crash, then left the roadway and struck a vehicle stopped on Benzal Road driven by Christine J. Delucia, 72, officials said.

Hurst suffered a leg injury and was taken to Saratoga Hospital by ambulance. She was cited and released to return to court later. Neither Angelo nor Delucia reported injuries, officials said.
