Hutchinson, KS : One taken to hospital after wreck on U.S. 50 on Thursday morning, April 6, 2017

A South Hutchinson man was taken to the hospital after a wreck Thursday morning in front of the Dutch Kitchen, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol.

Michael Everhart, 35, of South Hutchinson, was heading east on U.S. 50 and struck Glen Ruta, 53, of Hutchinson, as he pulled out of the Dutch Kitchen parking lot around 11:15 a.m., according to the KHP.

The report says Ruta was driving a 2005 Chevrolet Impala and failed to yield, causing the wreck with Everhart, who was driving a 1996 Dodge Dakota.

Ruta was not injured in the crash. Everhart was treated and released at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center.
