Sherman, TX : Tom Bean ISD bus involved in multi-vehicle wreck on Friday afternoon, February 17, 2017

A Tom Bean Independent School District bus was struck while dropping a child off on State Highway 11, causing injuries to one student and another driver Friday afternoon.
At about 3:30 p.m., the school bus on its normal afternoon route stopped at a residence off southbound Highway 11 north of Ridgeview Drive. Texas Department of Public Safety Trooper Tarif Alkhatib said before a child exited the vehicle, the bus was hit from behind.
A white Roto-Rooter utility van struck a dark Chevrolet car that was stopped behind the bus. The car collided with the bus and was pushed to the left side of the bus. After the collision, the van moved around the bus on the shoulder and came to stop in front of the bus, Alkhatib said. The bus contained about 30 students, he said.
