Baltimore, MD : 56-year-old woman died and another injured after being struck by a car in Northeast Baltimore on Saturday morning, Nov 7, 2015

A 56-year-old woman died when she and another person were struck by a car in Northeast Baltimore on Saturday morning, police said.

Police said the incident occurred in the 2400 block of Belair Road about 7 a.m. Both victims were taken to an area hospital, where one died and the other was recovering, police said. The fatal victim was not immediately identified pending notification of next of kin.

The driver, a 32-year-old man, stayed on the scene and was arrested on an open warrant. An investigation into the crash was continuing.
