Crownsville, MD : Two Women injured in bicycle crash in Baltimore on Wednesday, March 30, 2016
Two cyclists were taken to University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore Wednesday after they crashed during a ride in Crownsville, an Anne Arundel County Fire Department spokesman said.
The cyclists, identified only as 21-year-old women, were riding in the area of Old Herald Harbor and Chambers River roads at about 4:30 p.m. when they hit a bump and crashed, said department spokesman Capt. Russ Davies.
The women were part of a larger group of cyclists riding through the area. The group stopped when the women crashed and attempted to help them until police and paramedics arrived, Davies said.
Davies said the women are being treated for injuries that are considered serious but not life-threatening.
