NASHVILLE, TN : 2 injured in tractor-trailer crash on I-24 near Cheatham Co. line on Tuesday, 24th October 2023

Two people were injured in a single-vehicle wreck involving a semi-truck on Tuesday evening on Interstate 24 East near the Cheatham County line, Metro Nashville Police said.

An off-duty officer saw the vehicle drifted off to the left side of the roadway where it struck the guardrail. The driver lost control of the vehicle and it overturned near the 32.6-mile marker between the county line and the Joelton exit on I-24 East. The vehicle landed on its hood to the right side of the roadway.

Police said both occupants had to be extracted from the vehicle by the Nashville Fire Department. Both had non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.
