PITTSBURG COUNTY, OK : Pittsburg County deputy injured in crash on Sunday, October, 15th 2017
A Pittsburg County Sheriff's Office deputy was hurt early Sunday near Crowder, Oklahoma, when a pickup truck crashed into a tree, according to an accident report.
Shortly before 2 a.m., Deputy Dylan Reasnor, 26, was driving north on U.S. 69 when a 2014 Dodge Ram hydroplaned and went into a broadslide, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol's report said. The truck left the road to the right and hit a tree on the driver's side.
Reasnor was pinned inside the truck for about an hour before being freed by members of the Crowder Fire Department, the report said.
He was taken to McAlester Regional Health Center and is listed in stable condition with injuries to his arm, leg and hip.
Reasnor was responding to a call in the area when the crash happened, officials with the Pittsburg County Sheriff's Office said.
The deputy was using his seat belt at the time of the crash, which officials said was caused by driving at an unsafe speed for rain or wet road conditions.
