TOWN OF LYONS, WI : Fatal motorcycle crash in town of Lyons on Saturday, 15th October 2016

An Illinois man died when the motorcycle he was driving crashed in southeastern Walworth County on Saturday, the Walworth County Sheriff's Office announced Sunday night.

Timothy Adkins, 57, of McHenry, Illinois, was pronounced dead at the scene on South Road, about 0.3 miles north of Highway 50, according to the news release.

Emergency responders were called to the scene at 3:09 p.m. Saturday.

Preliminary investigation suggests Adkins was driving a Boss Hoss motorcycle south on South Road and lost control on a curve, striking another southbound motorcycle, the release states.

The second motorcycle was driven by Frank Adams, 38, of McHenry. Adams and his passenger, Christine Mann, 36, of Orlando, Florida, were not injured.

The crash remains under investigation.
