Rock County, WI : Alexy Varela, 21, died in a single-car crash in Rock Township on Saturday, February 13, 2016

A 21-year-old woman died Saturday in a single-car crash in Rock Township in Rock County.

The Rock County Sheriff's Department identified the driver as Alexy Varela, 21, of Janesville. At about 8 a.m., her car veered into a ditch along S. River Road., became airborne and struck some trees.

Speed appeared to be a factor in the crash, the department said.
