Hutchinson, KS : Officers believe alcohol is a factor in crash on Saturday, December, 9th 2017

The Reno County Sheriff’s Office said they believe alcohol was a factor in Saturday’s wreck near 69th Avenue and Nickerson Road that ended with the driver and a passenger being taken to the Hutchinson Regional Medical Center.

Driver William Joseph Palmer, 35, and passenger Seth Alan Moore, 36, were taken to the hospital. Both were treated and released.

Easton Alan Moore, 5, and Kyle Loytz, 5, we’re treated at the scene. Palmer was the only one not wearing a seatbelt.

Deputies responded to the wreck around 3:44 p.m. The offroad Polaris Razor was traveling west on 69th Avenue when Palmer attempted to turn and rolled the vehicle.

A bottle of Redd’s Apple Ale could be seen underneath the vehicle.

The wreck is still under investigation.
