A man was killed in a head-on crash in New Hanover County on Saturday night.
Highway Patrol Troopers said the man, who they believe was in his 70s, died later at the hospital.
The crash happened on River Road near River Oaks Drive shortly before 8 p.m.
Troopers said the victim was driving a truck down River Road, when an SUV traveling in the other direction crossed the center line and hit his truck head on.
The driver of the SUV was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
A female passenger in the truck was also taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
No charges have been filed yet.
The crash is still under investigation, but troopers do not believe speed or alcohol were a factor.
The identity of the victim will not be released until his family can be notified.
