One person was killed and three others seriously injured in a three vehicle crash in DeLand early Sunday.

It happened at the intersection of Martin Luther King Boulevard and Orange Camp Road just before 12:30 a.m.

According to authorities, the driver of a Toyota sedan slammed into the back of a Chevy Impala that was stopped for a light. Both vehicles wound up in the intersection, and the Impala was then pushed into a GMC truck.

The driver of the Impala, Owen Gray Jr., 43, was killed. Gray's passenger and both the driver and passenger in the Toyota were rushed to the hospital with injuries.

Charges are pending.
