Albuquerque , NM : One Driver killed and passenger hospitalized in fatal rollover crash vehicle swerved and lost control on Sunday morning ,January 18th 2015

Police in Albuquerque say one person is dead and another hospitalized after a single-vehicle crash Sunday morning.

Police spokesman Simon Drobik says the vehicle was heading westbound on Paseo Del Norte just west of Eagle Ranch when it hit a curb.

Drobik says the vehicle swerved and lost control, rolling several times.

The two people occupying the car were not wearing seatbelts and both were ejected.

Drobik says the driver died at the scene but the passenger is in stable condition at a hospital.

Investigators closed part of the road for a few hours. They believe alcohol and drugs were contributing factors.
