Midwest City ,OK :46-year-old man killed and female passenger injured after motorcycle accident on Saturday ,August 15th 2015

A 46-year-old man was killed and a female passenger was injured Saturday night in a motorcycle accident near Reno Avenue and Meadow Lane, officials said.

About 8:45 p.m. Saturday, officers were dispatched to the 6500 block of East Reno Avenue, where Jefferson Wayne Wells, from Oklahoma City, was pronounced dead. He died from a massive head injury, according to officials.

Wells' passenger, a 40-year-old Oklahoma City woman, was taken to an area hospital. She is recovering, officials sad.

Police found that Wells was driving west in the outside lane of East Reno Avenue when he lost control of the motorcycle.

"No witnesses have come forward at this time," Police Chief Brandon Clabes said. "However, if anyone has information regarding the accident, please contact our agency."
