Alamosa , CO : 20 - Years old person killed in Single Vehicle Crash after He crashed with his 1992 Ford F350 pickup truck along Rio Grande County Road 14 on Wednesday , February 18th 2015

Authorities suspect alcohol contributed to a single-vehicle crash early Wednesday that killed a 20-year-old man in southwestern Colorado.

Keith Abeyta Jr., of Del Norte, was identified as the driver and sole occupant of the 1992 Ford F350 pickup truck that crashed on Rio Grande County Road 14. Abeyta crashed about 25 miles west of Alamosa.

Colorado State Patrol troopers responded to the scene at about 1:15 a.m.

Investigators say Abeyta drove off the roadway and that when he attempted to gain control he collided with a fence, a delineator post and a utility pole before rolling.

Abeyta, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The state patrol said the crash remains under investigation.
