Bluefield,WV : Woman airlifted from ATV accident on may, Monday 29th 2017

A landing zone was set up at the Brushfork Armory for a woman who was in an ATV accident on Littlesburg Road Monday evening, according to Mercer County Officials.

Bluefield Rescue Squad Paramedic Ryan Mills said the unidentified woman was flown to Charleston Monday evening. "She was in an ATV accident," Mills said. "She's got a bad head injury. They're going to fly her out to Charleston Medical."

The incident occurred near 716 Littlesburg Road in Bluefield. "One transported by EMS," West Virginia State Police Trooper K.A. Filer said.

West Virginia State Police and the Mercer County Sheriff's office worked the incident on Monday night.

The identity of the victim was not being released at the time of the accident.
