JACKSON COUNTY, MS : Two people are dead following a crash on I-10 in Jackson County on Sunday, November, 19th 2017

Two people are dead following a crash on I-10 in Jackson County Sunday evening.

According to the Mississippi Highway Patrol, a man driving eastbound in the westbound lane, just west of Exit 50, crashed head-on into a car traveling westbound.

The two passengers in the car that was hit both died at the scene. The driver of the eastbound car was flown to a nearby hospital for treatment.

All westbound lanes are currently blocked.

At this time, it is not known what caused the deadly accident.
