Daytona Beach, FL : Driver killed in big rig crash on I-95 exit ramp in Daytona Beach early Tuesday morning, Oct 27, 2015

A driver died early Tuesday morning shortly after flipping his tractor-trailer while exiting Interstate 95 in Daytona Beach, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Troopers said the 51-year-old Land O’ Lakes man crashed the big rig, which was carrying pasta, into a guardrail on the southbound I-95 exit ramp to Interstate 4 westbound. The truck overturned, trapping the driver inside.

Authorities said they were able to free the man from the big rig and transport him to a hospital, where he later died.

It is unclear what caused the driver, who has not been identified, to lose control.

Troopers said the crash is under investigation.
