A head-on collision Monday morning at the 10-mile marker of Pennyrile Parkway has killed at least one person after a vehicle cross the median

James Hoffman Jr., 21, Lafayette, Indiana, was traveling north when his SUV crossed into the median and hit a car traveling south driven by Jennifer Sanchez, 27, Madisonville, according to a Kentucky State Police report.

Hoffman was killed in the crash and Sanchez was taken by ambulance to JSMC where she was flown to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville for severe injuries, according to the report.

One of the two vehicle had a small fire, but was put out by Hopkinsville firefighters.
