An Ozark man died Saturday night in a head-on motor vehicle crash in the city of Ozark.

According to an Ozark police statement, 22-year-old Benjamin Spears died from the injuries he suffered in the head-on motor vehicle crash.

The police statement said Ozark police officers, the Ozark Fire Department, and Ozark EMS responded to a reported head-on motor vehicle crash in the 2200 block of Dean Church Road around 6:30 p.m. Saturday.

Emergency personnel discovered a man who had suffered life threatening injuries during the crash. The victim was immediately taken to Dale Medical Center for treatment. He later died from his injuries, and has been identified as Spears.

The crash remains under investigation by the Ozark Police Department. No other details were immediately available, including how many vehicles were involved, whether Spears was the driver or passenger or whether anyone else was injured in the crash.
