Johnston, R.I : Rhode Island man killed in rollover crash on Interstate 295 Friday, June 10, 2016

Rhode Island State Police have identified a man who was killed last week when his sport utility vehicle hit a deer and rolled over in Johnston.

Police say 36-year-old Shawn Riccio’s car was traveling southbound on Interstate 295 Friday when it hit the deer, lost control and rolled over several times.

The Woonsocket man was ejected from the SUV and suffered fatal injuries.

Police say he wasn’t wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
