Baltimore, MD : Three people injured, including a child injured after MTA bus and vehicle collided on Patapsco Avenue Wednesday morning, Oct 14, 2015
Three people, including a child, were taken to the hospital after an MTA bus and vehicle collided Wednesday morning, a Maryland Transit Administration spokesman said.
Local bus 51 was pulling out of the Patapsco light rail station in Cherry Hill at about 8 a.m. when it was hit by another vehicle, said MTA spokesman Paul Shepard.
The bus was traveling west on Patapsco Avenue, while the other vehicle was heading east when it stuck the bus in the left rear side.
Shepard said a female driver of the vehicle was taken to the Maryland Shock Trauma Center, and a child passenger in the vehicle was taken to Johns Hopkins Hospital.
The bus driver, who was suffering from chest pains, was taken to Saint Agnes Hospital. The bus was out of service at the time and no passengers were on the bus except for another MTA operator, Shepard said. The other operator was not injured.
MTA and Baltimore police are investigating the crash.
