A 30-year-old Burlington area man was struck and killed in an early morning crash on southbound Interstate 94, just south of Highway 158, according to a Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department press release.

At 3:05 a.m. Thursday, Kenosha County deputies and the Wisconsin State Patrol responded to a vehicle versus pedestrian accident.

The southbound vehicle, a 2007 Acura SUV, was in the far left southbound lane and struck a pedestrian on the passenger side of the vehicle.

The vehicle was being driven by a 30-year-old male with a 29-year-old female passenger, both of Milwaukee. No injuries were reported by the vehicle occupants. Names are being withheld pending notification of family.

At this point speed and alcohol do not appear to be factors, the release stated.
