Baton Rouge, LA : A single-vehicle accident in Livingston Parish on May, Monday, 15th 2017
A single-vehicle accident in Livingston Parish Wednesday resulted in the death of a 67-year-old Tickfaw woman, Louisiana State Police reported.
Catherine Rivero was killed in the accident that occurred just before 11 a.m. Wednesday on La. 1064 east of La. 43, State Police reported.
Rivero was traveling east on the state highway in a 2007 Nissan Maxima when she sideswiped a bridge rail on the passenger side of her car, an initial investigative report says. Rivero, who was not wearing a seatbelt, ran off the left side of the highway and crashed.
State Police do not believe that impairment was a factor in the crash, but a sample of her blood was taken and will be submitted to the Crime Lab for analysis.
