Lake County, IL : One person killed in fatal head-on collision northbound on County Road 473 on Thursday May 12th, 2016

A police chase ended with a fatal head-on collision, killing a suspect and innocent driver in Lake County Thursday night, officials said.
Lake County Sheriff's deputies were watching a "known drug house" in the Leesburg area about 6:45 p.m. when they followed a 2009 Kia that was leaving the home, spokesman John Herrell said.
Herrell said as deputies were following the vehicle, the driver, later identified as 27-year-old Mylynda Martinez, committed a traffic infraction.
Deputies tried to pull her over, but she "refused to stop" and drove northbound on County Road 473 then west on County Road 44, Herrell said.
