Topeka, KS : A Westmoreland woman died in a crash on May, Wednesday 10th 2017

A Westmoreland woman died in a crash Wednesday in Pottawatomie County.

The incident was reported at 6:39 a.m.

Nicole Lynn Chilcott, 34, was driving a 1997 Dodge Ram southbound on K99 near Marten Road. She went left of center into the northbound lane and left the roadway. According to the Kansas Highway Patrol’s crash log, there were no signs of braking or other evasive maneuvers. The vehicle jumped a culvert and struck a tree.

Chilcott was transported to Stormont Vail where she died.

She was the only occupant in the vehicle and was wearing a seat belt, KHP said.
