Harris County, TX : Woman died and man severely injured in a motorcycle crash in north Harris County early Friday morning, April 24, 2015

A motorcycle crash killed a woman and sent a man to the hospital in critical condition, deputies in north Harris County said Friday.

The incident happened on FM 1960 at E. Gatewick not far from the North Freeway.

Authorities said the motorcycle struck a curb and crashed in the early-morning hours.

A woman on the bike was wearing a helmet but was pronounced dead at the scene. The man who was driving the bike was not wearing a helmet; he was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

Deputies said if the man survives he may face charges for the crash.
