Conyers, GA : Leon Ashby, 63, killed in a two-vehicle accident in front of Flat Shoals Elementary School on Wednesday morning, September 28, 2016

The Rockdale County Sheriff’s Office has released the name of the person killed in a two-vehicle accident that occured Wednesday morning in front of Flat Shoals Elementary School. The victim has been identified as Leon Ashby, 63, of Conyers. Three others were injured in the wreck.

The accident involving a white Chevrolet minivan and a larger passenger van occurred sometime after 9 a.m. The Rockdale County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the accident and has not released how many people were in each of the vehicles, but Ashby was an occupant of the white van. The accident shut down traffic on Flat Shoals Road in both directions for about three hours.
