Fairview, OH : Man escapes serious injury in motorcycle crash on I-70 near Fairview early Monday morning, May 16, 2016
An Indiana man escaped serious injury after crashing his motorcyle on Interstate 70 early Monday morning.
According to a spokesman at the St. Clairsville post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the motorcyle operated by Duane Wolfe was westbound at 4:56 a.m. near the Fairview exit when he dozed off.
The motorcycle went off the roadway and slid in the grass.
A caller advised that the driver had a rib and arm injuries and was bleeding.
Wolfe was taken to Southeastern Med by the Barnesville Emergency Squad where he was examined, treated and released after about 30 minutes.

"He was lucky," troopers said. "He had some scrapes, but he was wearing a helmet and that helped. The helmet was scraped up pretty good."
The crash occurred near the 198 mile marker.
