Driver Extricated From Vehicle After Central Topeka Crash
High speeds and slick road conditions seem to be the cause of one accident near Washburn University.
At around 3:55 p.m. officers say a silver vehicle was traveling northbound on Washburn when it lost control, striking a telephone pole, before hitting a southbound green s.u.v.
Police were forced to extricate the driver of the green s.u.v. from the vehicle and take them to a local hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
The driver of the silver vehicle did not need medical attention...
Officers believe speed and wet roads were a factor.
