Mccracken County, KY : One person dead after two-vehicle collision on Lovelaceville Florence Station Rd West on Saturday, July 30, 2016

Deputies with the McCracken Co Sheriff Department were dispatched to the intersection of US Hwy 45 South and Lebanon Church Road on Saturday, July 30 after receiving a report of a two-vehicle, roll over collision with injuries.

Deputies said the collision occurred around 9:50 p.m. and, upon arrival, determined that Louis Kolb, 17, of Paducah, Kentucky was driving east on Lovelaceville Florence Station Rd West in his 1999 Dodge truck when he came to the intersection of Hwy 45 South, where it also intersects with Lebanon Church Rd.

When Kolb attempted to cross Hwy 45, with the intentions of turning left toward Paducah, he crossed into the path of a 2007 Ford truck traveling south driven by Melissa Boso, 22, of South Fulton, Tennessee. Boso's two-year-old child and Brandon Fout, 25, also of South Fulton, Tennessee, were also in the vehicle at the time.

As a result of the collision, Boso’s vehicle rolled over, causing Fout to be ejected from the front passenger seat. Both vehicles came to rest near the median area of the highway.

Authorities said Fout succumbed to the injuries he sustained at the collision scene.

A preliminary investigation indicates that Fout was not wearing a seat belt.

Hwy 45 South bound traffic was slowed and/or restricted to one lane for approximately two hours after the crash.

The McCracken County Sheriff's Department, Mercy Regional Ambulance, the Lone Oak Fire Department, McCracken Co DES and the McCracken Co Coroner’s Office all assisted at the scene.

Authorities said the investigation remains ongoing.
