RICHLAND, WA : A two-vehicle crash on Interstate 182 on Tuesday, July 4, 2017

Two Yakima residents were sent to a Richland hospital Tuesday afternoon after a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 182.

Maria E. Rivera was eastbound in the right lane in a 1997 Suburu Legacy on I-182 at Queensgate just before 1 p.m. She changed lanes and struck a 2012 GMC Acadia SUV driven by Gibert A. Hendricks, 66, of Zillah, the Washington State Patrol said in a news release. Rivera overcorrected and her vehicle rolled.

Rivera, 44, and a passenger, Angel Rivera, 14, were sent to Kadlec Medical Center. Both were treated and released, a nurse supervisor said. Their vehicle was totaled.

Hendricks was not injured.
