LAS VEGAS, NV : 3 dead after stolen vehicle causes fiery crash in North Las Vegas on Saturday, 10th June 2023

Three people are dead after a fiery crash involving a stolen vehicle in North Las Vegas Saturday night, police said.

Patrol officers responded to the area of Carey Avenue and Winning Way near Clayton Street around 10:27 p.m. after reports of a crash involving two vehicles.

Arriving officers saw one of the vehicles fully engulfed in flames while the other had significant front-end damage.

The North Las Vegas Fire Department and medical personnel extinguished the vehicle fire.

According to the North Las Vegas Police Department (NLVPD), a dead body was found in the fiery vehicle, and two dead bodies were found in the other vehicle.

The NLVPD Traffic Bureau’s Major Collision Investigation Unit said a 2021 Kia Forte was traveling eastbound on Carey Avenue and was approaching Winning Way at a high rate of speed while a mid-2000s Nissan Titan Pickup entered the intersection and appeared to be making a turn onto Carey Avenue.

The Kia struck the driver’s side of the Nissan and caused it to immediately catch fire, and caused significant front-end damage to the Kia.

Police said there were three people in the Kia, two of which were pronounced dead at the scene. The third person was identified as a juvenile male and transported to University Medical Center with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
