Prescott, WA : Two women injured after a two car collision on Highway 124 west of Prescott on Sunday morning, Oct 11, 2015

Two women, one from Richland and the other from Prescott, were injured Sunday morning in a two car collision on Highway 124 west of Prescott.

Jacob T. Hargrove, 18, of Prescott was driving eastbound and was at milepost 26 on the highway when he lost control of his Honda Accord, a release from Washington State Patrol said. His car started to go off the road on his right and Hargrove overcorrected, sending the Accord into the westbound lane, striking a Chevrolet Suburban driven by Richard T. Casqueiro of Richland.

Neither driver was injured but their passengers, Evelyn Terriquez, 19, of Prescott and Brenda L. Casqueiro, 64, of Richland were taken to St. Mary’s Hospital in Walla Walla. Their statuses were not immediately available.

State troopers said it was Hargrove’s inattention that led to the collision. He was cited for second-degree negligent driving.
