Miami, FL : Woman crashes, resists troopers on Southwest 91st Avenue on Friday, 20th March, 2020

A Gainesville woman who described herself as a boxer and put up a fight when authorities tried to take her into custody following a crash Friday was arrested on multiple charges, a report states.

Hayley Madison MacDonald, 24, of 919 NW 23rd Ave., was charged with DUI, DUI with damage to property or a person, resisting an officer with violence, leaving the scene of a crash involving property damage and driving without a valid license.

MacDonald was charged by the Florida Highway Patrol, which responded to a crash on Southwest 91st Avenue Friday evening.

The trooper found a white Ford cargo van in a ditch with damage consistent with a rollover, the report states. A few minutes later the trooper and an Alachua County Sheriff’s deputy were told the driver was in a yard on Southwest 89th Place.

They found MacDonald there arguing with the resident. They tried to handcuff her, but she reportedly pulled away. They eventually succeeded, but she continued to resist, kicking the door frame and interior of the patrol car, the arrest report states.
